GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 529842
Evolution not displaying duplicate emails correctly
Last modified: 2008-09-28 21:45:05 UTC
Please describe the problem: After triggering bug ID 527729 (downloading messages from POP3 a after they've already been grabbed), the mailer shows multiple messages differently in the list. For example, I may have the following emails: 1: Email from CVE editor 2: Email from friend with link to news article Evolution has downloaded email 1 and 2 each twice. If I view the first copy of email 1, I see the correct message displayed. If I view the second copy of email 1, I see the message for email 2. If I view the first copy of email 2, I see the correct message displayed If I view the second copy of email 2, I see yet another email (a 3rd one) The third email is also a duplicate. and this pattern continues throughout the entire set of messages. Steps to reproduce: 1. Trigger bug ID 527729 2. View the first of the duplicate messages 3. View the second of the duplicate messages Actual results: The wrong message is displayed on step 3. Expected results: I would expect the same thing to be displayed for steps 2 and 3. Does this happen every time? Yes, 100% consistency. Easily reproducible. Other information: This is highly related to bug 527729.
