My System: Windows XP, mainboard ASRock K7S41GX, processor AMD Athlon 2400+, 
1024 MB RAM, scanner epson perfection 2580, printer hp deskjet 720C(actual driver)

Error occurs with GIMP 2.4.5-i686-setup
Correct with GIMP 2.2.10-i586.setup
printed size is factor 4.2 to original

try to change printing size by changing dpi-value in
GIMP Menu "Bild" (image), "Druckgröße" (printing size) without effect

try to change image size in
GIMP Menu "Bild" (image), "Bild skalieren" (image scaling) without effect

I don't understand this bug report. Are you complaining about problems with the Print Size or Scale dialogs or is there a problem with the Print plug-in ?

There is a problem with the Print function, so it will be the Print plug-in. 
The Print Size or Scale dialogs are perfect.

Please tell us exactly what the problem is then. How can we try to reproduce it? Is the Print preview also affected?
