GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 528063
2GB: Cannot get folder `Inbox': Value too large for defined data type
Last modified: 2009-06-29 05:33:26 UTC
My inbox seems to be empty. However, all subdirectories are full. If I look at the files on my disk, the Inbox file is still there (it's about 2Gb). Also, when I click on Send/Receive, I don't get any mail. Sometimes I have a very brief glimpse of the window that is indicating which accounts are being processed, but it disappears very quickly and nothing happens. Is there a way I can recover access to my main Inbox? (I have stopped using evolution for getting/receiving email before it gets fixed.) Distribution: Debian lenny/sid Gnome Release: 2.22.0 2008-03-14 (Debian) BugBuddy Version: 2.22.0
see http://www.go-evolution.org/FAQ#I_cannot_see_some_emails.2C_but_they_must_be_there. does that help?
When I click on Properties while on Inbox, I get the message: Error while Opening folder mbox:/home/michel/.evolution/mail/local#Inbox. Cannot get folder `Inbox': Value too large for defined data type. The file Inbox is 2154577868 bytes long.
Answer to Andre Klapper: I have checked all cases listed. The problem I am having is not referenced in the list. See previous email for more explanations.
Answer to Michel Biezunski, I have now the same problem. No messages anymore in the inbox and I can not receive new emails! Did you found a solution? Chris
