Nautilus-2.20, konqueror, windows explorer, and every other sane file manager in the universe preserves timestamps when copying files. Nautilus-2.22 doesn't.

For me, this makes it almost useless as a file manager, since I now have to do all copying from a terminal.

As far as I can see, this is a major usability regression relative to 2.20.x

Makes nautilus preserve metadata on file copy (like gvfs-copy --preserve).

Confirming, but I'm not certain that fix is good enough (i.e. do we really want to copy every single piece of metadata possible there, seems excessive?) I'll defer judgment on this one.

Seems this was by design, per dupe. (Even though I have to admit, I completely agree with you on this one).
