Description Ivan Stepaniuk 2008-04-03 14:04:05 UTC
gEdit takes roughly 50 secs to open a 25MB, ~300000 lines of text. No highlighting. I don't know if this is a gEdit 'problem'. but GVim 7.1 (vim-gnome on debian) takes less than three seconds to open the same file.
My box runs at 1.8Ghz, w/1GB of RAM.
