Description antistress 2008-04-01 10:49:40 UTC
The "add applet to panel" functionnality is not easily discoverable
1° you have to know that you can add applets to panel
2° then you try to know how
3° then you eventually try right clicking on the panel

If you don't know that you can add applets to panel, you're not about to discover it by yourself

Maybe there should also have an entry in the System>Preferences menu that will launch the "add to panel" window ?

That would make that function a lot more discoverable

i'm running Ubuntu hardy beta/GNOME 2.22

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all old bug reports in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years.

If you can still reproduce this issue in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-panel/-/issues/

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
