Description Guillaume Desmottes 2008-04-01 10:31:04 UTC
I'd like to be able to synchronize instant messaging logs. I'm mainly interested about Empathy's log files but I guess support other types (as Pidgin, xchat, the N810 IM chat...) would be worth too.

Each log entry has a date and a time so merging shouldn't be too hard.

You can't trust timestamp because they vary depending on the clock of the remote/local computer and the server. So I think this can't really be done properly.

I need something like this - it's important for me to be able to have a full copy of all my IM logs on each of the machines I use.

Conduit is not under active development anymore, has not seen code changes for eight years, and saw its last tarball release in 2010.
Its codebase has been archived: https://gitlab.gnome.org/Archive/conduit/commits/master

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is deprecated) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again.
