Description Daniel Vianna 2008-03-31 06:22:40 UTC
Please describe the problem:
The increase/decrease number of decimals displayed buttons do not work at all.

Steps to reproduce:
1. enter any number with decimals in a cell
2. press increase/decrease buttons
3. nothing happens

Actual results:
Nothing.

Expected results:
Increasing or decreasing the number of decimals I could see in a cell.

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Other information:
The whole decimals thing seems to be very broken in Gnumeric. I also get it randomly changed (usually for more decimals being shown) whenever I cut, paste or change a formula, but as of now I don't have a good clear-cut example to offer.

They actually do work, except that you are surprised over what they do for
the "General" format. The patch over in bug 510252 brings things more into
line with common expectations.

Please file that separately if you manage to isolate it.
