Description Dave 2008-03-17 15:47:16 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Essentially, whenever printing is attempted from Gnucash (e.g. reports) the preview looks OK, but the printout is printed upside down and backwards. This occurs both when printing to a PDF file using "CutePDF" and when printing to a "real" printer, in this case, and HP OfficeJet.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Print something.
2.
3.

Actual results:
The printout is upside down and backwards.

Expected results:
To get a proper printout.

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
I thought that this had previously been reported, but could not find it again when I was checking for an update. Note that the problem occurred in 2.2.3 as well as now in 2.2.4

I also have the same problem. Everything I send direct to the printer is upside down and back to front. Frustrating. Cheers Andrew

Same problem here, using GnuCash 2.2.5 on Windows XP SP2 with Brother DCP 7020 printer and PDFCreator virtual printer.

I have this problem as well on two machines.

First, I installed GnuCash 2.2.6 on my work laptop - a Toshiba Satellite A215-S4697, Windows VISTA, with access to HP LaserJet 6P/6MP PostScript, HP Deskjet 3740 Series, and HP Deskjet D2400 Series printers. All produce the upside down and backwards print. I also have several "PDF printers" and all produce PDFs that match my printouts.

To see if this was a VISTA problem, I installed GnuCash 2.2.6 on my Dell Inspiron 1100, Windows XP SP2, with HP LaserJet 6P/6MP PostScript and HP Deskjet 3740 Series. Again my printouts are upside down and backwards (my son says "fake Russian"). The "PDF printers" again match my printouts.

WORK AROUND - I did export to HTML and got the printouts I wanted just fine. Its extra work, but you can get reports.

Allison
