Description Étienne Bersac 2008-03-12 22:50:18 UTC
Hi,

Providing bindings will be a must have for wide adoption in the desktop. GNOME Scan must ship gobject-introspection metadata in order to ease the use of GNOME Scan in other languages like python.

Regards,
Étienne.
Comment 1 Philipp Schlesinger 2009-02-03 10:05:02 UTC
We will build with gobject-introspection metadata once all dependencies (in this case mainly gegl is missing) provide metadata.

So when vala starts to make use of gobject-introspection, we can immediately make use of it.

Regards,

   Philipp

gnome-scan is not under active development anymore and has not seen code
changes for seven years. Its codebase has been archived:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/Archive/gnome-scan/commits/master

A possible alternative is using "simple-scan".

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is deprecated) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
