GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 521403
Reports: One more option in "Price Source" in Stock Value Reports
Last modified: 2018-06-29 22:02:02 UTC
Hi, There are three options which are present right now under price source in stock value reports 1) Weighted average 2) Most Recent 3) Nearest in time What I would like to see is the price at which I bought the stock? I want to see this feature in the all the places where stock value shows up like in the Stock Value Reports page, while calculating investment in balance sheet as well as on the main account page. The reason I would like to have this feature is, when you create your balance sheet or financial statement in India, you have to put the buying price of the stock it doesn't matter what is the price of it at the end of financial year, if you are holding the stock you don't have to report any profit or loss on it.
Bug 460721 already requests this for the Balance Sheet report. However, this seems to be a more general request to add this option to all reports that convert commodities into a reporting currency.
A have added a new "Average Cost" price source for reporting. Committed as r17266. Requesting backport for 2.2.
Backported by cstim in r17266 for GnuCash 2.2.6. Thanks a lot!
I mean r17283, of course :-)
