GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 520136
Window maximize horizontal/vertical should be in title bar property menu
Last modified: 2020-11-06 20:08:40 UTC
Although Bug 358674 has gotten a lot of attention, the functionality to maximize a window horitzontally/vertically should also be in the window title bar right-click property menu. This menu already contains related window sizing functionality (like maximize, minimize, move, etc) and having maximize hor/vert options in this location would be more discoverable for the user. Thomas Thurman mentioned this fix would be made in libwnck.
(...as well as in metacity, but yes). This seems reasonable to me; what do other folks think?
To be honest I thought that was what the other bug resolved as a solution. I am surprised its not in the title bar menu. It makes sense to be consistent here. +1
