Description Michael Lester 2008-02-27 23:01:25 UTC
When a bookmark topic that contains only smart bookmarks is added to the Toolbar, I think it would be desirable to have the drop down menu act as a selection instead of a button and have a gtkEntry next to it, just like for a lone smart-bookmark. Since the point of a smb is for easy searching, I think this would be preferable to the current action.

Currently when a sbm topic is added, it acts exactly like a normal bookmark topic. So when a sbm is selected from the drop down menu it simply activates like a normal bm and you are transfered to that page.

Is this something that the dev's would like to see implemented? If so I'll be glad to write a patch... if not, perhaps an extension?

Perhaps it would be better to have a generic dropdown for multiple smart bookmarks first (I'm sure there's a bug about this, but I can't find it right now). Then we can always see if it's useful to make a distinction on topics.

I think a patch for this would be welcomed, anyway.
