Open gnome-terminal.
Remove the silly menubar because it's all on the context menu anyway.
Resize gnome-terminal to 40 or 50 lines or so.
Realise you need to read help. Realise right-click context menu has no
help entry. Restore menubar...

menubar is restored, but alas, so is original size. Back down to 80x24.
This is unexpected and disconcerting. It should stay the same size until
asked to change.
