GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 513518
The number of unread messages in the Junk Folder contains deleted messages
Last modified: 2009-11-05 14:17:39 UTC
Please describe the problem: When I select all messages in the junk folder and delete them to trash, the window titel doesn't show zero (0) messages, but the former amount of junk mails. The option 'hide deleted messages' is set. When I empty the trash, the window titel shows zero (0 Junk). This behaviour shows only the junk folder. For instance the inbox works correctly. Steps to reproduce: Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? yes Other information: I'm using the bogofilter plugin.
where is the bug?
The number of mails in junk-folder contains the deleted messages till they are deleted from trash. When I delete one mail in inbox, the number of mails is instantly reduced by one. I expect the same behavior from junk-folder. Sorry for my english...
Created attachment 104331 [details] Number of Messages in Junk Number of Messages in Junk is still '58' after deleting all messages to trash. I have the option 'hide deleted messages' set. So it should be '0'.
Bug in Ubuntu: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/309296 Please don't underestimate this bug, it's very confusing. The impression that some e-mails have been lost (if you don't know about the option "Hide Deleteted Messages"). This is not good feeling...
It works fine for me on 2.28.1. As thi sis reported against 2.12 and the ubuntu bug is 2.22, I'm closing it, but please reopen if you'll find some steps how to reproduce it. (My changing as junk or deleting unread messages in Junk folder always made it work the count properly, in the local Junk folder.)
