GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 512853
nautilus information sidebar right-aligns text when background in use
Last modified: 2010-08-02 12:29:57 UTC
This report has been filled here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/155532 "When using nautilus in browser mode with the "Information" sidebar open, the current folder's icon displays in the middle, with information about it centered underneath in the default configuration. When a background image or color is added, the text underneath the icon shifts to the right, with the folder title a bit to the left of the details underneath, none of it centered together. If the text doesn't shift immediately after it's applied, restarting Nautilus will show the problem. To correct, right-click on the panel and click "Use default background", and restart nautilus. The text centers once again." http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10180880/sidebar.png
Created attachment 107821 [details] [review] Workaround patch This patch disables nautilus_sidebar_title_select_text_color. Reason: functions eel_gtk_widget_set_* mess up with the layout.

Comment on attachment 107821 [details] [review] Workaround patch We need a proper fix here.
The information sidebar has now been removed from nautilus master, see [1]. Closing this as OBSOLETE. [1] http://mail.gnome.org/archives/nautilus-list/2010-July/msg00023.html
