Description Jakub 'Livio' Rusinek 2008-01-24 18:15:22 UTC
Please describe the problem:
file picker always uses double click and list view.

it should follow nautilus settings for click mode and some settings (probably not available yet in gui) for view.

Steps to reproduce:
1. disable double click i nautilus
2. run gedit
3. click "open" from toolbar, browse through folders

Actual results:
file picker opens but to browse folders I need to double click (such a windows-ish behaviour)

Expected results:
file picker should open, view icons not in a list with details and should allow to open files and folders using single click

Does this happen every time?
yes, from over a decade

Other information:
KDE does this...

What, you want me to dup it to bug 141154 instead? Please do some research, and file bugs in the right component.
