GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 508115
Account creation with username containing "@" fails
Last modified: 2008-09-08 14:02:30 UTC
I tried to create a CalDAV account with an email address as username. Connection failed an when I re-opened the preferences for this account to check those I saw that the caldav://-URI was garbled. For example, let the server be caldav://dav.calendar.org/dav/ and the username "me@calendar.org" the the preferences form shows after closing an re-opening the following string as URI: caldav://me@calendar.org@me@calendar.or@me@calendar.o@me@calendar.@me@calendar@...@dav.calender.org/dav/ So it seems that there's a loop in which the last letter of the username is cropped and the remaining string is placed again and again after each other in front of the URI as long as the reamaining string isn't NULL. OS: Gentoo Evolution: 2.12.1

Argh, I mistyped the garbled URI. The uri does not contain "me", the right one is: caldav://calendar.org@calendar.or@calendar.o@calendar.@calendar@calenda@calend@calen@cale@cal@ca@c@@calendar.org/dav
I can confirm I have exactly the same problem. Using Evolution 2.12 on Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy.
evolution-caldav is not worked on anymore. Its functionality has been completely migrated to evolution itself, hence moving all open bugs to Evolution itself.
