Description Martin Picek 2007-12-29 17:41:43 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Window List works bad on the vertical panels.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create an vertical panel.
2. Add the Window List applet.

Actual results:
The whole applet and its windows are viewed as vertical. But the windows' titles are viewed as horizontal.

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Other information:
I would like to set the position of the WL applet:

1. view them vertically (the text would be in the vertical direction) -- for vertical panels
2. view them horizontally (the text would be in the horizontal direction) -- it would be good on very large vertical panels
3. view the window's icons only

This is a duplicate of http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86382
The problem is still exists in 2009 with gnome-panel 2.24.1.
But if we set the panel width to 32 or more pixels we can see the icons.

(Oh great. That a bad panel. Already: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/332563 under Ubuntu/Intrepid)
