Please describe the problem:
audiotestsrc wave=sine freq=512 ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! gconfaudiosink: Internal GStreamer error: state change failed.  Please file a bug at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=GStreamer.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Audio Preference
2. Klick on Test
3. Error


Actual results:

Expected results:
I would have to hear a test sound

Yes

Other information:
All System Sounds (ESD) and Skype Sounds function (Mic, Audio) are in error, other Sounds are OK (TV-Time & Radio, Xchat, but xmms only when no other Programms are running (Skype blocks all other Sounds but Skype is not running correctly in this bugy System).
Alsa sound server does not know with Skype, sound of system and XMMS together a functioning, and OSS functioned also not all the same which I adjust it functioned never

It's a setup problem for the most part. Try System => Preferences => Audio and try  other settings for the various output options (music/movie etc.)
