Select an empty cell,
click on the formula guru icon in the toolbar,
select the npv function in the function list and choose insert.

The argument names are not listed but some strange translator information appears instead.

Add missing docs for NPV

Proposed patch -- needs review for 1.8.1

On top of this, it appears as-if argument docs in fn-financial is not
marked for translations.  I don't want to fix that in the straight-forward
way as that would just upset the translators.  We really need to move on
to the new doc api.

Andreas, does this solve the problem for you?  I never saw your exact
problem, but that may be locale dependent.
