Description alex3269 2007-12-21 05:47:25 UTC
Hi. I have an issue on my Debian Etch, though I don't know if it is a bug or a new feature that is consistent and implemented further on. So my video card is Radeon 7000 which is a bit old now. When I open an image in Gimp 2.4.x.x and move a mouse pointer over it with brush selected, I have a chain of green circles following the pointer. It happens, when I run X with open source ati video driver. It's OK with vesa, though. But vesa is not as nice as ati. I have issues with switching screen resolution with it.
Can you explain what I have, a bug or something else?
Alex.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.

This is a driver issue but until the driver is fixed you can use the workaround mentioned in the report this is closed as a duplicate of.
