Submitting bug according to the http://live.gnome.org/Hipo wishlist section:

Would be nice to have automatic cover art downloading support for not having to go trough the whole web searching for the right cover of the album, instead we can use something like rhythmbox and then sync the album art to the album in the ipod database.

The last Hipo code changes took place in April 2008:

This project is not under active development anymore.

This project got recently archived in GNOME Git.

It is currently unlikely that there will be any further active development.
