GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 503562
Printing On Planner Works BAD
Last modified: 2009-09-23 13:23:42 UTC
Ubuntu Edgy 7.04 - Give possibility to print gant chart without activities - Printing options not work (es. print 2 page in 1). Cannot fit chart on a page. Portrait/Landscape options not work - Give possibility to export gant char as png, pdf file Fabio
To address these points separately: 1) I do not understand what you mean. Do you want to leave out the columns left of the gantt? If so, how would you know which task is which? 2) We'll have to look into this. 3) It is possible to print to a pdf file. It can be selected from the "Printer" tab of the "Print Project" dialog.
1) Usually the left columns isn't so useful, best for us is to write on the chart (manually with a pen), but the best for us is that the activities name is on the chart (small text under the bars for example). 3) The pdf print don't work, if I try to print in landscape mode the output is a chart with a portrait page and a incomplete gant (it seems cut). Thanks.
The truncated printing in landscape mode seems to be what I reported as bug 407066 . I just posted there an (ugly) workaround for this that seems to work.
I use planning whith unbuntu hardy, and i have the same problem when i print in landscape mode also if i export in pdf mode. Sorry for my english ;-) Luca
1) This feature has been filed as a separate enhancement request (bug 408929). 2) Landscape related problems are tracked by bug 587904. 3) It has been fixed, see bug 385680. Hence I'm closing this bug as all queries have either been fixed or are already tracked by other bug reports.
