Description Mildred 2007-12-09 20:47:31 UTC
Nautilus would be much more easy to use if we could change the order of icons manually (for example in the list view) or if we could place icons where we want in folders (like we can do on the desktop)

So for example in my homedir I could place together (in a corner for example) Image, Videos and Documents and in another corner the folders public_html, Projects, rpmbuild and elsewhere the few files I have.

Of course Nautilus should be able to remember the location of the icons.

Other information:
It would be great if we could choose to align icons on a grid too, so it would not look disorganized.

Also, that would be great to standardize the way nautilus remembers the location of icons so this information could be shared among file managers

added dependency on bug #528127. But I'm not sure about it.

Right click, Arrange Items -> Manually. Lay them out however you want.

I'm not sure it makes sense at all for the list view, though.

How could I possibly miss it !
Thanks a lot
