Description Andrew Jackson 2007-12-08 18:27:34 UTC
Currently when importing images they are auto-filed by date. This is a nice feature, but doesn't work the way I (and, I suspect, many others do) which is:

1) Import RAW images into a "dropbox" folder
2) Go through those images to delete obviously bad ones
3) Rename images
4) Rate images
5) File based on exif data
6) Edit etc at leisure

So being able to turn off the auto filing would be good. Whilst I can drag and drop the images off the card, working solely in one program makes the flow more efficient.

The new default is "No grouping" (no auto-filing by date).

Try the latest trunk version from svn and let me know how it works for you.

Works nicely. Does exactly what I was after, but is a much more powerful approach.
