it would be very nice and useful feature, if gedit would display xml and html as tree. sometimes i have four div's closed in one line... it's not easy :> .

also, tree support for css and all languages with sections in {} or () would be great.

If you mean a custom display in the main text area, that doesn't belong in gedit, it is too specific to an xml editor.

If you instead mean collapsing sections from the left margin, that is called "code folding" and should be implemented in gtksourceview. I am marking this bug as duplicate of the bug tracking code folding in gtksourceview
