GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 495575
infinite loop when browsing deleted dirs
Last modified: 2007-12-23 19:19:13 UTC
1)mkdir -p a/b 2)open b in gthumb (folders mode) 3)rm -rf a 4)click .. in gthumb ghumb blows up, opening a flashing "path not found" window, taking 100% CPU and cramming my desktop. I had to kill it from console.
Confirmed in 2.10.7. - Mike
Seems to be the same problem. I dunno if you need this anymore. 1. Insert card reader w/ SD Card into USB 2. Wait until dialog appears, click Import 3. in gThumb, from first SD Card directory, enter child directory (named by camera) 4. from Nautilus, unmount SD Card 5. in gThumb, try to navigate up ".." 6. gThumb starts to create infinite (I assume) error msgs. Panel applet shows both CPUs going to 100% usage. I was slow the first time and it seemed to freeze the desktop, although I could still move the mouse; did hard reset. On the second time (as a test) I hit the power button and chose Restart when Gnome asked me.
Sorry, should have said this was gThumb 2.10.6.
Fixed in gthumb-2-10 going to the closest existing parent. The fix will be available in 2.10.8
