GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 495339
brightness popup should support composited enviroment
Last modified: 2009-01-19 00:58:57 UTC
Please describe the problem: Hi In lastest gnome, the volume popup supports bling in composited enviroments (using compiz), but the brightness one doesn't. It would be nice if both were similar, for consistence. I image you could steal some code from the volume one. Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch compiz, change the volume through volumen keys 2. change brightness through brightness keys 3. see the difference Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
I can confirm this bug.
I can confirm this bug too.
Gnome version 2.24.1 Compiz: 1:0.7.8-0ubuntu4.1 On my machine, it seems that the brightness popup (when pressing the brightness Fn hotkeys) and the volume popup are different in style. They both seem to pop up and display the current, respective settings. The volume uses some transparency and is different from the non-compiz version. The brightness popup uses the non-compiz style whether or not compiz is enabled.
