When using any of the transformation tools, (except move tool) the layer opacity is not shown, making it hard for example, to align two scanned parts of an image where you need to rotate them to get them properly aligned.
Without the ability to lower the opacity of the upper layer so you can see how they align when rotating the whole operation becomes a guesswork.

(Seeing layer opacity when rotating etc. is the improvement I'm suggesting...)
