Description Jan Larres 2007-11-01 18:36:06 UTC
Support for the LaTeX package 'pdfsync' would be really nice. This would allow users to click on a part of the document, and the preferred editor would open the corresponding source file at the right line.
More information about this package can be found here:
http://itexmac.sourceforge.net/pdfsync.html
And apparently someone already started implementing it:

Comment 1 Johan Brannlund 2010-02-02 21:18:31 UTC
I think pdfsync support is unlikely to be implemented, but texlive has support for synctex and there is ongoing work to get synctex support into evince: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=543503 .
Comment 2 José Aliste 2010-08-03 16:30:38 UTC
Marking won't fix since synctex support (which is supposed to replace pdfsync) has landed in evince master (see bug #543503)
