GIMP 2.4.0-rc3 leaves mouse tracks (trails of little green circles) on canvas with mouse movement regardless of clicking buttons.

Please describe the problem: In Fedora F8 test 3 and newly released Ubuntu 7.10 anytime a drawing tool is selected, and mouse is moved over canvas (with or without clicking or a working document)it leaves a trail of little green circles. Load GIMP, create new document or open an existing document and move mouse over canvas Actual results: A trail of Green circles appears Expected results: No mouse tracks Does this happen every time?
