Using Ubuntu 7.10 Live-CD x86 desktop

first time i start evolution, the configuration assistant is to width for my screen (1024x768) so i have to move the window everytime i want to go to the next step

when evolution is started, there is a similar problem. The left toolbar with all my accounts is to width, so i can not see the closing window icon in the top right corner. If i try to reduce the width of the toolbar, nothing happend.
