Description Ralph Loader 2007-10-15 06:46:26 UTC
The pdf from

http://www.jaycar.co.nz/images_uploaded/MJE2955T.PDF

fails to print.

Attempting to print chews around 40 seconds of CPU (1GHz P3), and then sends something to the printer. The print job seems to hang the printer; it has been "processing data" for around 10 minutes without producing any output.

evince-2.20.0-3.fc8
poppler-0.6-2.fc8

The printer is an HP 4000NP.

[Doing a "print to file" and then viewing with ghostscript produces the output file quickly and views OK with ghostscript. So it appears to be somewhat printer specific.]

I believe you are encountering the same bug as I am.

I have the same problem with evince 2.20.2 and poppler 0.6.2. My printer is HP2605 (color postscript printer). I cannot print many of my pdfs (especially 2 or more pages per sheet).

Downgrading to evince 0.9 and poppler 0.5.4 solves the problem.

Is the problem still here with new version of evince, poppler and update of the HP printer drivers ?

This document now prints fine.
