Description srturner47 2007-10-09 06:55:50 UTC
I love the ability to search for a suitable codec when totem opens media it can't play. But, this doesn't work with Firefox's browser plugin for totem. Instead, the video simply doesn't play while embedded in the browser window. Because the internet is used to access a great deal of media, this would be a great enhancement! :)

I think there are several of us in the Ubuntu world that are aware of this bug. I would like embedded totem to open a codec installation query, the same way that regular totem does.

Here is where the bug is reported in Ubuntu:https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/89072

Already fixed in 2.23.x, when the missing-plugins code got moved to the backend.
