Description Ben Gamari 2007-10-08 05:56:14 UTC
This probably pushes the implementation or design limitations of the X11 input system but it would be great if you could optionally enable use of multimedia keys while gnome-screensaver is active. Having to type one's password just to mute audio is a bit of a pain, especially consider gnome-power-manager will by default lock the display every time the lid is closed.

William, what do you think about this? An openSUSE user also filed about this:

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=199065

I guess gnome-screensaver could just capture the keys and forward them accordingly to the underlying desktop
