When I'm trying to save default language for user it doesn't get saved. I have noticed following warnings in the system log:

Sep 26 11:15:44 sol gdm[5343]: pam_unix(gdm:session): session opened for user plaes by (uid=0)

This happens on Gentoo with gdm-2.20.0
