I imagine the first things anyone will say in response to this are "check for updates" and "please install XXX debug library". I'm doing updates now, but if there are other debug packages that will help pin it down, let me know. Evolution goes all stupid on me any time I try to shut it down, and it's rather annoying.
Comment 2 lesley.walker 2007-08-27 05:32:45 UTC
Had another Evolution "stopped responding" incident after doing the latest updates. It only seems to happen after it's been running for a while (most recently, over the weekend). No crash report this time, though.
Comment 3 Tobias Mueller 2007-09-24 18:57:56 UTC
You could attach a gdb to the running evolution and get a backtrace then :)

To check whether you have sufficient debug information, check for the question marks as in here:
No symbol table info available.
  • #3 ??
  • #28 camel_session_get_service_connected
    from /usr/lib/libcamel-provider-1.2.so.8
  • #29 thread_dispatch

Anyway, this particular bug is a dup, so marking it as such.
