What were you doing when the application crashed? I go to menu "persons" and then to "new contact". That's all. I am new to gimmie, so i dont really know the exact function of the "new contact" button. I have just played aroud. Also, I have not created any "persons" or "contacts" with gimmie yet. I've got a new ubuntu installation. I just looked in the crash report. It seems to have to do with synaptic. For your information Synaptic was running while the error occured.
