Please describe the problem:
I am using metacity 2.9.34 on Ubuntu 7.04. I wanted to try the fix for #145503. All windows appear on the scren on the right where my pointer is. Two rogue application do not work emacs and xpdf.


Steps to reproduce:
1. run emacs or xpdf



Actual results:
The applications are shoved to the upper left corner.

Expected results:
I would expect them to appear on the right screen where my pointer is located.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Other information:
I use emacs 22.1 that I compiled myself. Xpdf comes with the distribution.

I have the following in .Xresource for emacs:
