Description Loban Rahman 2001-09-10 00:59:00 UTC
Medusa and SLocate have similar goals. As far as I can see, medusa does
everything slocate does and more. If it doesn't, medusa should be changed so
that it does all that slocate does (including having a text-terminal interface),
so that if I install medusa, i can uninstal slocate.

Sounds like a worthwhile goal someday, but not a short-term project. Marking
deferred since it won't be addressed for Nautilus 1.0.

I can create an slocate wrapper that will use medusa indices instead of the
slocate ones. Then slocate can be turned off or uninstalled.

That's great!! So am I correct to assume that medusa is already a superset of
slocate?

------- Additional Comments From rebecka@eazel.com 2001-02-11 23:53:01 ----

Yes, medusa is already a superset of slocate.
