The description of the advanced search criteria is not line broken.
This means that this description is of small value if the number of search
criteria is more than two.

I'm having trouble understanding this bug.
One thing I can imagine you are referring to is the sidebar descriptions of 
a search in the "search results view".  Is this where line breaks should appear
and are not currently?

Yes, the description of the criteria in the sidebar.
They are all in one line.
The same goes for web page titles, which makes it rather unusable for long strings.

Note that bug 43858 is about wrapping the document title in the sidebar.

The search case could conceivably be fixed independently of a general-purpose
solution, so I'm not marking it as a duplicate.

This problem occurs in all kinds of search descriptions.
