GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 46272
Showing icon preview settings in the "Speed Tradeoffs" group can be confusing
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
The preferences for "Show text in icons", "show thumbnails for image files", and "previewing sound files" are currently in the "Speed tradeoffs" group. While it's true that speed improvements can be realized by disabling these features, other users may wish to change the preferences simply because they want the icons to behave differently. ------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2001-02-05 09:57:01 ---- See also closely related bug 46278. Maybe there is some better organization of preferences that would make each one easier to find (and maybe there isn't). We might also consider putting some preferences in more than one panel. ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2001-03-26 11:19:31 ---- SPAAAAAAAAAM! (Jon Allen has taken these components; QA Assigning bugs to him.) ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 20:58 -------
Changing to "old" target milestone for all bugs laying around with no milestone set.
Seth: I guess this is your call.
Dave: (1) add the usability keyword for bugs like this and (2) you can also cc: nils (n.p@sun.com) for his call on things. It's also still an issue, so I'm confirming/moving from old.
the new design fixes this. these prefs are in the previews tab now.
