Description Charles Bovy 2007-08-01 12:59:18 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #340838 +++

That bug has been opened on https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/42597

"1. go to Edit-->Preferences-->Mail Preferences-->HTML Mail
2. select "Load images in mail from contacts"
3. go to Contacts
4. create a new address book (mine is called "Lists")
5. add the address of someone that sends html mail with images (like mailings@mail.cnn.com) to the new address book.
6! open an email from that address. most images will not be displayed.

restarting evolution does not fix the problem. interestingly, images that have previously been cached do show up (like from a similar email), but not new images, so the behavior is different from 'do not show images'.

this was working in recent previous builds, i believe."

While opening a HTML mail with links to images, Evolution preview plains hangs, with in the status-bar "formatting message". Preview plane does hang, but opening messages full-screen does work correctly.

The senders are not in the address-book.

I'm using:
Evolution 2.11.5
GtkHTML 3.14
