Title says it all. I just lost a lot of work because I thought I was working on a copy. I tend to work less methodically and more creatively so the undo history is essential for me.

I try to keep everything on seperate layers to allow later editing but somethings require undo history.

Okay, thanks. By the way. I did search for the possibility of a duplicate but didn't find anything searching with "gimp undo history" and "gimp undo" (it wouldn't let me use XCF as a search token because it has less than 4 letters).

Is there a better way I can search for duplicates before posting?
