GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 457116
IndexError: list index out of range
Last modified: 2008-10-09 17:56:50 UTC
What were you doing when the application crashed? Noticing duplicates in contacts from an old installation of Gaim on Ubuntu (which I could not remove without jeopardizing the basic ubuntu desktop package, which I like) I opened Gaim alongside my new installation of pidgin and deleted all contacts and accounts. Following this the applet crashed. I tried running again and this is what occurs. I have temporarily alleviated this problem by adding a dummy contact to Gaim. Still, however, no contacts breaks the applet.

Gimmie is unmaintained and no work is going on anymore. If you are interested in hacking on the codebase: A fork named Mayanna exists at http://groups.google.com/group/mayanna Closing all remaining Gimmie bugs as WONTFIX. Please do not file new bugs against Gimmie. Mayanna is the project you want to use and file your bugs against. Also see http://groups.google.com/group/gimmie/browse_thread/thread/4e0f8088e08e59a6 http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-bugsquad/2008-October/msg00000.html for more information. Thanks.
