GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 455801
Invoice Page onscreen Layout
Last modified: 2018-06-29 21:42:23 UTC
Allow editing/removal of unwanted columns in invoice onscreen display To illustrate, I do not need or ever use discount columns, there are 3 columns onscreen taking up real estate, they dont display properly and force the use of the scroll bar to see total/tax
you do realize you can just resize the column, right? just resize it to 0 size. the register-rewrite should make it a little easier to do this dynamically.
Derek Yes appreciate I can resize but it is a messy solution. I notice the main account page has a very well implemented ability to change the columns displayed. Long term it would seem appropriate to implement this on all pages so the interface is consistent. It would certainly provide the flexibility to meet the differing needs of the user base & minimize any individual frustrations.
As I said in comment #1, the register-rewrite should make it a little easier to do this dynamically. As for resizing, I don't see it all that messy; it doesn't take a lot of time (maybe one minute the first time) and the column sizes should stick, so subsequent invoices should retain the column widths. If they don't then that's a bug and should get reported (in another bug report). I'll leave this bug open for now as a reminder to make sure this works when the register-rewrite branch completes.
