Description John Sullivan 2001-09-10 00:48:28 UTC
Currently, if you double-click a file for which Nautilus has no registered
program/viewer, Nautilus puts up a dialog saying that it can't display this
file. This dialog would be more useful if it mentioned how the user might train
Nautilus to display this file, by mentioning the File Types and Programs capplet
and perhaps offering a "Go There" button.

Changing to "old" target milestone for all bugs laying around with no milestone set.
Comment 2 Aschwin van der Woude 2002-11-06 22:01:17 UTC
This still seems an issue in 2.1.2, although I didn't get a popup but
the message "This is a sample nautilus view component" in the viewing
area.
Comment 3 Sebastien Bacher 2003-11-23 22:09:52 UTC
nautilus 2.4 popup a dialog "Cancel" / "Associate Application", it
seems to fix this bug. I'm closing it. Feel free to reopen it if you
think that the problem is still here.
