What were you doing when the application crashed? Just launched it from Applications > Sound & Video > Rhythmbox Music Player. Could never run Rhythmbox since I installed it on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5. Thank you for your help. This crash indicates you've previously used a newer version of rhythmbox and the older version you're running now doesn't support the database version written by the newer version. If you can't install a newer version, you might have to delete the database file, ~/.gnome2/rhythmbox/rhythmdb.xml, and import all your music again. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 350304 ***
That's correct Jonathan. I had migrated the ~/.gnome2/rhythmbox/ from FC6 to RHEL5). I removed the ~/.gnome2/rhythmbox/ dir and now Rhythmbox works just fine. Thank you for your fast and accurate reply... and for this great app!
