GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 44928
Cannot change properties on a group of selected files
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper: I want to change the properties on a group of files. For example I wanted to remove the execute flag on a set of jpg files in a folder in my home directory. I selected the files and then right clicked and selected Show Properties. This opened a number of individual windows, 1 for each file selected. I had to go through each and deselect the execute flag. * REPRODUCIBLE: Always * STEPS TO REPRODUCE: As above * EXPECTED RESULTS: I expected Nautilus to open a single window with properties - perhaps showing me only those that applied to all files selected. I hoped to be able to change the relevant property and close the window. The command I ended up executing was chmod -x *.jpg ------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2000-12-04 08:57:03 ---- *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 40548 *** ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 20:48 ------- The original reporter (tom@eazel.com) of this bug does not have an account here.
